This story does not begin with a logo or a founding date on paper. It begins with people. David's grandfather already worked in the graphic industry. His father followed the same path. David grew up among processes, machines, and the conviction that technical work is either done properly or not at all — more than twenty years accumulated, generation after generation, long before the Colpix brand existed.
IN THE FIELD
David has spent more than two decades in the graphic industry. He has commercialized solutions such as Sony SmartLab, delivered large-scale projects with Epson and Canon, and worked closely with Oki LATAM. That authority does not come from a sales narrative — it comes from years on the shop floor, in presales, and face to face with operators who cannot afford downtime.
THE TURNING POINT
The pandemic reshaped the graphic industry entirely. That is when the Colpix that exists today was born: the same technical standards as always, but a different way of standing beside people who print for a living. It was not a rebrand. It was a reinvention of how to show up when the operator needs you most.
THE SAME STANDARD
One of David's great interests is high-performance automobiles. That is why the equipment we offer carries names like Phantom C820, M6, or RS3 — a tribute to engineering that pursues precision under pressure. The same level of demand — the kind you apply when every detail matters — is what Colpix brings to selecting printers. It is not enough that they work. They must be worthy of a serious operation.
SOURCE IN PERSON
Colpix does not work from generic catalogs or intermediaries who have never seen a factory floor. Our team travels personally to China to verify quality assurance processes, motherboard revisions, components, workflows, and real market trends. The same scrutiny you would apply to a high-performance car is what we apply before offering a machine to a client.
REAL PRESENCE, NOT OCCASIONAL VISITS
More than three years ago we built a business relationship with Olia, today co-founder of Colpix Global. Of Chinese origin, Olia gives us something no catalog or intermediary can offer: direct factory access, in the right language, with permanent physical presence. We are not a company that occasionally travels to evaluate suppliers. We have our own people there, every day.
WHAT WAS MISSING
Twenty years seeing the same gap
Modern cars warn you in advance when maintenance is due. The dealership knows what to replace based on mileage. The printing industry never offered operators that same standard of communication. For more than two decades, David saw skilled operators left on their own precisely when they needed foresight most. That is the gap Colpix set out to close.
Colpix Platform is our first version — we are launching it now, and we keep building it. It comes from twenty years watching the same gap repeat itself, and we built it to close it. If something isn't perfect yet, we'll tell you straight: we'd rather build with you than sell you something that isn't real.
